About Tholen Sustainability Group
Tholen Sustainability Group, founded by Lisa Tholen, is dedicated to furthering sustainable practices in the community, workplace, and the built environment. Ms. Tholen is a LEED accredited professional with more than 25 years of experience in Sustainability, Facilities Management, Project Management, and the Design Industry. A LEED Accredited Professional demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of green building practices and technologies by passing one or more LEED Accreditation exams in various disciplines.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Members of the U.S. Green Building Council representing all segments of the building industry developed LEED and continue to contribute to its evolution.
Ms. Tholen is a graduate of Woodbury University in Burbank, CA with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, and also holds Bachelor of Arts degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA. Ms. Tholen is an active member of the Los Angeles chapter of the USGBC, a national member of the USGBC, and a steering committee member of the Burbank Green Alliance.
